It’s easy for us to take things for granted. When we live in luxury, we tend to appreciate less and want more. However, the inevitable truth is that somewhere out there, a child seeks the simplest things in life — one of which is to go to school.
In Guatemala alone, 25% of its population is illiterate and the average schooling years is just 4.1 years per student. When you think about it, that’s barely enough to get a person a decent job when the time comes.
We firmly believe that education is key to fighting poverty. With knowledge comes the opportunity to have a brighter future. We want to give this opportunity to those who need it the most.
For a mere $7, you can give a student a chance not only to study but to have a better life. You can provide them with a life that promises abundance, success and an opportunity to make their dreams come true.
With just one Yuda band, you can make a difference.
What Sets Us Apart?
Unlike other charity organizations, we go beyond general donations and take pride in our Yuda Bands. All our projects get funded through the sales of our bracelets, and we make it a point to inform all our fellow helpers where their $7 goes, down to the last cent.
How Does it Work?
We receive a lot of inquiries as to how our Yuda Bands work. We like to keep the projects as easy and as accessible as possible.
It starts with signing up for one project to be conducted in your school. You only have to enlist your club, select which international student to fund, schedule your sales date and we’ll deliver the bracelets immediately. There’s no need to worry about excess Yuda Bands. You can mail it back to us at no expense.
As to how many Yuda bands you can order, it’s all up to you. You can order anywhere between 100, 300 or even 400 bracelets at a time. Don’t worry. You’ll have someone guide you every step of the way.
Where Does Your $7 Go?
Part of our humanitarian efforts is full transparency and disclosure. We desire nothing more than to ensure that everyone we work with knows fully well how we operate, how the children receive help and where their investment goes.
Breaking down the $7, $2.50 goes to benefiting the international student of your choice. From his/her school fees to books and uniform, this portion of your investment will go a long way.
$2 goes to the production costs of our Yuda bands, including the materials as well as the wages for those who make it. The remaining $2.50 goes to the operation costs surrounding our bracelets, including shipping, advertisements and employee compensations.
$7 may not sound much right now. However, imagine how much further we can take this amount when we all exert the effort to make a change.
How Do We Prove It?
We want to get everyone involved as much as we can. That’s why we don’t stop once you enlist your school to help out. We don’t just receive orders, send out the bracelets and collect the money when we can. We take things further by showing you the ropes.
We’ve sent multiple sponsors to our on-site locations in Guatemala, and they have seen first-hand how we operate. From making the Yuda Bands themselves to meeting the student they sponsored, we’ve shared priceless experiences with many project leaders throughout the years.
We have also been teaching the American youth about the power of selfless service. We’ve conducted countless conferences and seminars as well as arranged many trips for them to see everything that goes on into making these Yuda Bands. We’d like to believe that we’ve also touched the lives of not only the young children of Guatemala but also, the lives of our volunteers.
This first-hand experience shows just how far your $7 can go. That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to have you on board.
