Hi guys! My name is Courage Kuku from Gweru in Zimbabwe. I’m 20 years old. I come from a family of 7; 5 boys and 2 girls. My parents divorced when I was very young. As it is now, my mother is old. She cannot raise funds to put food on our table and also pay my school fees. As for my brothers, I am not their first priority since they have families of their own to take care of. Financially, my mother has to work for us to earn a living.

At school, I’m studying Maths, physics and Chemistry at Mkoba 1 High, to be precise. My favorite subject is Physics. Physics gives me the drive to work hard. At Ordinary Level I got 8 A’s and 2 C’s. One of the C’s is in Physics and I enjoy the challenge of doing Physics because it teaches me to focus and work harder. My favorite sport is soccer. Soccer taught me to believe in team spirit and myself. My favorite food is rice and chicken. My favorite colors are red and black.

For a career, after finishing school I want to be a doctor. I want to specialize in medicine because medicine is a passion for me. I want to be a heart surgeon because it has been a problem area in our country Zimbabwe because if one has a heart problem, they have to be transferred to another country for an operation and it is very expensive and unaffordable for most patients to meet the financial requirements of such a process. I feel that I can help such people. Having learned a lesson from your assistance and my background, I want to help those with heart problems with minimum costs here in Zimbabwe.

I want to thank you guys for sponsoring me. I hope that some day I come that side and join you in assisting other people. Thank you.
