A Giving Experience is the transparent, project-based donation listing you create and manage on the Hometown Humanitarians platform. It is designed to be the most direct way for a global donor to fund specific, tangible change in your local community.
It is more than just a donation request; it is your opportunity to clearly outline a SMART goal (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), show the need through high-quality media, and provide the ongoing updates that convert a one-time donor into a long-term partner.

Donor trust is the single most important factor for a successful Giving Experience. Donors need to feel confident that their money is going directly to the cause. You build this trust primarily through radical transparency and consistency:
- Virtual Tours & High-Quality Media: Work with your assigned American Student Intern to create a Virtual Tour video and clear, truthful photos. This connects the donor directly to your community and proves the reality of the need.
- Clear Accountability: Provide a simple, detailed budget that shows exactly where every dollar will be spent.
- Consistent Updates: Commit to providing regular progress reports (even if there are challenges!) after the project is funded. Showing that you are managing the funds responsibly is the best way to earn repeat donations.

Transparency is key. We highly recommend including a Virtual Tour video, detailed project updates, specific photos of the community, and a clear budget showing exactly how funds are used.
The interns are university students in the U.S. who volunteer their time to support your project. They are assigned to you because they understand the American donor mindset and will help you refine your project story, photos, and updates to be as compelling and trustworthy as possible.
No. Yuda Bands provides the platform, training, and donor network. The funding comes directly from individual donors who choose to support your specific project through the website.
Once your project meets its funding goal, you will fill out a Funds Request Form, and our team will verify all documentation. Funds are then transferred directly from the 501(c)(3) account to the humanitarian via a secure, verifiable payment method (like Mobile Money or bank transfer) once the project goal is reached and necessary documentation is verified.
Donors come from our established global network, including past Yuda Bands supporters, corporate partners, and new visitors who appreciate the platform’s focus on direct, personal community impact.
You will receive 90% of the total funds donated to your project. The remaining 10% covers transaction fees, platform maintenance, and necessary compliance to ensure the 501(c)(3) status remains valid for US donors.
Projects should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound). Focus on tangible results that affect the lives of the individual or the family either in their critical needs or self-relaint needs.
We advise starting with small to medium goals $100 to $500. Smaller goals are reached faster, which builds momentum, trust, and your profile’s success rate.
They want proof of integrity and impact. Be ready to provide high-quality photos, a clear budget showing where every dollar goes, and regular, compelling progress updates once funding begins.
