Students involved with running the service project at the high school

How did you hear about Yuda Bands at school?

  • Over the intercom
  • I saw my friends wearing then and thought they were cool
  • People were telling me about it during class

What are Yuda Bands?

  • Cute bracelets that everyone’s wearing
  • A fundraiser to help kids get an education
  • Something that helps send kids to school

Why did you run the Yuda Bands service learning project?

I did the Yuda Bands service learning project because I saw it as an opportunity to help kids get an education, and it seemed liked a really cool project to get the whole school to work together for the good. – Annie Le Nguyen (Project Leader at Lincoln Southwest High School)

How do you think the service learning project affected your school?

I think it gave the school a chance to see how we can help others in a simple way. I think that as we continued to promote and share Yuda Bands people realized that it was going to a really good cause and at the same time it was cute and easy. – Annie Le Nguyen (Project Leader at Lincoln Southwest High School)

How do you feel about being part of the solution and providing education?

It feels good knowing that in the end we were able to send two kids to school and give them a chance to experience what we experience every day. It’s neat to be able to watch a service learning project continue and know that in the end there will be kids that get to go to school for an entire year to learn and experience friendships. – Annie Le Nguyen (Project Leader at Lincoln Southwest High School)
